MBI Indoor Percussion is the upper Midwest’s premier competitive indoor percussion ensemble, serving youth and young adults across the upper Midwest region. MBI Percussion Indoor is proud to compete in the Independent World Class of the Minnesota Percussion Association & Winter Guard International. MBI Indoor Percussion proudly builds upon the 80-year history of MBI Performing Arts, including receiving awards as Independent Open silver medalists, Independent World Class finalists, and numerous additional accolades locally and regionally.

MBI Indoor Drumline prides itself on providing a premier member experience focusing on the development of its members as performers, people, and future educators in our activity. As the only independent world-class percussion ensemble in the region, MBI strives to create engaging and emotional programs that push performers’ abilities and provide an opportunity to perform at the highest level.

Making its premiere for the 2026 season, MBI InLumina inspired audiences across the country, exemplifying a highly innovative and holistic approach to incorporating professional-level dance and choreography into the indoor percussion landscape. Under the direction of choreographer and professional artist Ian Ko, InLumnia will return in 2027 with openings for passionate dancers, gymnasts, and movement artists from all backgrounds.
